A bicycle shop on Atlanta’s Beltline provided the opportunity for the structure to become the signage. We took inspiration from Japanese tea houses and lanterns. Rather than using traditional carpentry or rice paper screens, we designed with steel and back-lit translucent polycarbonate for durability and security. Used bicycle wheels provided for a moment of surprise and delight as well as security in an open-air structure.
